        The seminar will provide an overview of optimization problems and solution techniques. Optimization is used to assist research scholars with solving their complex problems in areas such as manufacturing, power systems, distribution, finance and scheduling.

         The purpose of this seminar is to provide participants with an insightful overview and intends to promote the research interests in the connection of optimization and real-life applications. At the end of the seminar, the participants will acquire a good knowledge on how to embed optimization models into applications.
