The Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is the fruit of decided efforts put up by the Bannari Amman Group, a leading corporate house under the dynamic chairmanship of a great visionary, Dr. S. V. Balasubramaniam, in South India to establish a center of excellence in Engineering & Technology. It is an impressive campus, situated in serene surroundings at the foot hills of the Nilgiris Mountains encompassing a sprawling area of 165 acres. The institute is affiliated to Anna University, Coimbatore and is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Currently, the Institute offers 11 Undergraduate and 12 Postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Technology and Applied Sciences. All the departments of the Institute are recognized as Research Centre to pursue MS by research and Ph. D. programmes. The institution is ISO 9001:2000 certified for its quality education and most of the courses are accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi and NAAC with Grade “A”.
