The Bannari Amman Institute of Technology was established in 1996 by the Bannari Amman Group, serves as one of the citadels of higher education in the Southern part of India. BIT aids to impart knowledge, teamwork, innovation, entrepreneurship, courage, sacrifice and duty which are innards of a meaningful life. It is an impressive campus situated in a serene surrounding at the foothills of the Nilgiris Mountains encompassing a sprawling area of 181 acres with a built-up area of more than 30 lakh square feet green campus and presenting an exemplary illustration of corporate contribution to society. The Institute has a team of 552 dedicated members of faculty, 167 with PhD and 225 pursuing PhD programmes. It offers 21 undergraduate programmes and 10 postgraduate programmes and PhD programmes in Engineering, Technology and Management. BIT also has 25 sophisticated research laboratories and 9 centres of excellence for the betterment of students, research scholars and faculty members. The Institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi. All eligible courses have been ac-credited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The institution Accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with A+ Grade & 3.36 CGPA on 4.0 Scale. BIT has achieved 100% placement for the third consecutive year.
The contributions of Mechanical Engineering are enormous in the growth of technology over the centuries. Department of Mechanical Engineering of Bannari Amman Institute of Technology was started in the year of 1996. The department offers four-year B.E - Mechanical Engineering, Two-year M.E - Engineering Design,M.E - Industrial Safety Engineering and Ph.D. programmes. The department has a team of 72 highly qualified (among them 23 completed Ph.D) dedicated and motivated members of faculty and well equipped laboratory for UG, PG and Research programmes. B.E - Mechanical Engineering programme has been accredited for six years by National Board of Accreditation and UG, PG programmes have been affiliated to Anna University Chennai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The field of Mechanical Engineering encompasses many challenging subjects including Production Engineering, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, Power Plant Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Mechatronics, Automation and Additive Manufacturing etc. which have been among the fast growing and the most demanding technologies which enable the development of the society. International Conference on Advances in Materials Research - 2021 (ICAMR 2.0) organized by Bannari Amman Institute of Technology will be add a milestone in the summation of R&D activities held across the world. The advances in materials research reports the latest researches performed in basic materials and their science in the field of composites, metals and alloys, fracture of materials, biomaterials, energy materials and polymers etc. The researches in material science relate the desired properties and their performance enhancement/deterioration with respect to the atomic structure of the materials. The atomic interactions resulting from the density change, covalent and polar bonds are characterized using latest characterization technologies. The original research includes both experimental and theoretical analysis and peer reviewed papers are systematically reported in this proceeding. ICAMR is one of the interdisciplinary forums for researchers working in the areas of basic and applied materials research. Selected papers from ICAMR 2.0 will be published after the follow-up of Publication protocol of SAGE publisher. The mandatory criterion for the selected papers submitted for special issue publication is that they must be peer-reviewed by independent referees in the same way as papers submitted for regular issues of the journal. There is NO publication charge for submitting and publication in the special issue.
Selected papers from ICAMR 2.0 will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published. Springer Nature does not charge any money for publication of Non-Open Access content. Abstracts/extended abstracts and short papers (less than 4 pages) are not considered for publication.
Selected papers from ICAMR 2.0 will be published in any one of the above journals from TransTech Publications with additional charges.
