About Facility

The Electric Power Analysis Lab at the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology, is a multi-use facility for both research and educational activities. The lab provides opportunities for faculty and graduate students to perform advanced work in the areas of electrical machines, power electronic devices and converters, renewable energy systems and integration, controls and communications, automation and relaying, distribution engineering, and other emerging electric power technology areas. The laboratory also enables education and the highest level, integrating new course developments in electric power engineering, focused on these same emerging technologies.

Experiments conducted using the Instrument	Eddy Current loading of three phase induction motor. Testing the Efficiency of three phase induction motor Torque measurement at various load condition. Speed and Slip measurement at various load conditions Eddy current adjustable dynamometer functions without the need for mechanical contacts. This eliminates the main cause of wear. Further, the stationary coil is protected against adverse atmospheric conditions; the use of commutators, brushes and sliprings is avoided and control is achieved at a relatively low power level.
